A Ride on the Wild Side!

Elijah has been asking for a bike for over 5 months now. It all started when he rode on his cousin Lilly's tricycle last summer. Soon after he was saying, "Ride bike. Ride Wowwy (Lilly) bike. Bike all gone" almost every day. It didn't take long for me to feel bad for my tricycle-deprived son. Elijah finally got this long-awaited gift on Christmas morning. Little did he know that it had been sitting in our garage the last 3 months waiting for this day. He was so excited to ride it and has been going around our living room and kitchen the last few days.

Sid the Science Kid

For all of you PBS fans out there, we have our own little Sid the Science Kid at home. After months of using a flashlight for a microphone and an Easter egg dipper as a magnifying glass, we thought we would get him the real deal. Now we get to see his giant eyes throught the magnifying glass!

Evan's First Christmas

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ELF

The Monday before Christmas we went with grandma and grandpa Dack and aunties Nicole and Carrie to the Macy's 8th floor Christmas show. This year it was "A Day in the Life of an Elf". It was a little disappointing because there were only about 10 scenes, but Elijah still loved all the lights and colors. He kept saying, "Oooooo pretty!" Afterward we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner, one of our favorites. It was delicious!

We had Evan dedicated at Wooddale on Sunday, December 7th. Following in his brother's footsteps, our usually quiet Evan cried when it was his turn. He did settle down easier than Elijah though. Evan's special verse was, "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

SMIILES :)

Here are some of Evan's first smiles. His dimples are so cute!

Christmas Time Is Here!

We got our Christmas tree the Friday after Thanksgiving and spent Saturday decorating it. Elijah was so excited to turn the lights on. He said, "Ooooo, pretty!" when it was all decorated. Now when he wakes up in the morning he wants to go downstairs and turn the tree on.

Family Life

Just some everyday Dack pictures.

My First Bath

Evan had his first real bath. He was good for the first 5 minutes and then he had had enough. He cried until he was dressed again :(

Brothers

Let it Snow!

We woke up last Friday morning to snow! Elijah was so excited that he wanted to go out right away. Since we weren't yet ready to head out in the cold, I brought some snow in for him to play with. It kept him busy until it melted.

Trick-or-Treat

We had two little pumpkins on Halloween! Elijah went door-to-door trick-or-treating for the first time this year and learned how exciting it is to collect candy!

Pumpkins!

One Last Apple Picking

We had to go apple picking one last time! We brought along 10-day-old Evan and he slept the whole time! Elijah loves apple picking so much that he calls apples "apple picking" now. When he wants an apple he says, "Apple picking!"

Big Brother, Little Brother

At first Elijah was very hesitant to come near Evan. Within a few days of being home he came over to touch Evan's hand. He was soon giving him "air" kisses and was ready to hold him, although Evan had different thoughts :) I am sure that they will be the best of brothers!

Baking Cookies

Last Tuesday morning Elijah helped me make chocolate chip cookies. After nap time we visited Daddy at work and Elijah and Daddy had a cookie and milk snack break together.
