Saturday morning we woke up to the wonderful surprise of a flooded living room and kitchen from a neighbor's burst pipe! Yeah! Having spent most of the day cleaning up the water our plans of going to the Como Zoo had to be put on the back burner.

We decided we still need to get out of the house (and get away from the damp, musty smell) so we headed to Edinborough Park for some indoor playground fun.

Elijah and Jon had fun climbing all over the giant play structure and going down numerous slides.

Here they are playing in the gym.

This is them half-way up the climbing tower.

Evan hung out with mommy and took a nice snooze.

We got there around 7:00 and stayed until almost 9:00 (way past Elijah's bedtime!). He had so much fun and he never stopped running the whole time we were there. We got back late to our still-damp house, but we were in much better moods after having some fun!

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads!"

Maybe just a roll of masking tape! I made a little road out of masking tape for Elijah to drive his cars on - complete with a parking lot! He didn't quite get that the road was in between the tape and not the tape itself. Oh well.

I decided to make it a little more interesting and put a few familiar landmarks on his road.

Believe it our not, after telling him it that no, it was not a kite and making a few modifications, he looked at this one and proclaimed "Nursery". Which to him means church. He recognizes our church from the steeple and the picture of their logo. Success for me!

Next I moved on the this store logo which he also recognizes:

After telling him it was the Target store he was convinced!
Then I did this logo for a certain fast-food restaurant where he loves the fries:

When I asked him what this one was he dully said "M" and stood pondering. Since He calls McDonald's "M" I thought he would have got it. I asked him if that was McDonald's he said, "No mom!"
Apparently I have to work a little harder on making my M's look like the real deal!

What's a daddy to do?

What does a daddy do when baby wants to be held, mom needs a break, and there is studying to do? . . .

This is what happens at our house:

Evan seemed to be happy for quite awhile sucking on his hands and reading the Bible with daddy!
No, daddy is not sleeping!

We need to get out more!

Apparently I have not been doing anything picture-worthy lately with the kiddos! I was going through my pictures from the last few weeks and didn't find much to post on. Here are a few of our best shots :)

I smell feet! Do you?

Brotherly Love!!!
